I journeyed more than 4,000 miles for a glimpse of glory, deep into the Navajo lands of Northern Arizona, where wind, time, and water have sculpted a sanctuary beneath the surface. Antelope Canyon, known as "The Crack" and revered as “the place where water runs through rocks,” is a place where the divine feels as near as breath. Stepping inside, I felt the canyon embrace me with cool, silent reverence, its sandstone walls glowing in hues of flame and rose.

But light is elusive here. Harsh shadows and sudden brilliance shift with every passing cloud. To capture a sunburst in this sacred slot demanded patience, prayer, and stillness. I waited, camera steady, heart racing, for the moment when the sun would pierce the opening above. And then it came—pure light cutting through the canyon like a sword of peace. In that moment, I remembered: “I am the light of the world...”

With every echoing footstep, I felt the weight of the journey and the wonder of being fully present. This image is more than light on rock, it’s an invitation to walk out of darkness and into the radiant arms of grace.
